Hi! My platy's had swim bladder disorder for a few days. How can I cure her?

Tank
What is the water volume of the tank? 5 gallons
How long has the tank been running? Almost a month
Does it have a filter? Yes
Does it have a heater? Yes
What is the water temperature? ~74-78 F
What is the entire stocking of this tank? 4 adult platies

Maintenance
How often do you change the water? Once every few days
How much of the water do you change? 20-40%
What do you use to treat your water? Tetra AquaSafe
Do you vacuum the substrate or just the water? No substrate, just the water

*Parameters - Very Important
Did you cycle your tank before adding fish? No
What do you use to test the water? API Master Test Kit
What are your parameters? We need to know the exact numbers, not just “fine” or “safe”.
Ammonia: 0.5
Nitrite: 0.2
Nitrate: 5
pH: 7.7

Feeding
How often do you feed your fish? 1x daily
How much do you feed your fish? A few pellets or flakes or peas
What brand of food do you feed your fish? Fluval, Tetra, Hikari
Do you feed frozen? No
Do you feed freeze-dried foods? Yes

Illness & Symptoms
How long have you had this fish? Almost 1 month
How long ago did you first notice these symptoms? A few days ago
In a few words, can you explain the symptoms? Floating near the top of the tank, no buoyancy control
Have you started any treatment for the illness? No medications, I've just separated her in a breeder net
Was your fish physically ill or injured upon purchase? No
How has its behavior and appearance changed, if at all? Lethargic, no buoyancy control

Explain your emergency situation in detail.
A few days ago, I noticed one of my fish was acting strange. I separated her in a breeder net so that she had a quiet space to herself. Now she is floating on her side near the top of the tank. I gave her an epsom salt dip about 6 & 1/2 hours ago, but she doesn't seem to be getting better. What can I do to cure her?

Try not feeding for 2-3 days. Often times eating too much can cause such issues.

Thank you! There's another fish in the tank, and she seems to have slightly lost control in swimming, but it seems to be the cause of an illness. The scales on her head and along the bottom of her stomach are raised, but she's not pineconing. How can I help her?

Just start with fasting both for a few days. May all be from bloat from eating too much, but pictures would help a TON perhaps.

Okay. The one of the fish in the breeder net is the one with bad swim bladder issues.

Hi. It’s been over 3 days, and no improvement. The red dwarf platy is still floating on her side. What can I do to help her?

Your water parameters are very bad for this fish and tank size. 4 adult platies should not be in a 5-gallon tank.

Do a 80% wc and raise the temperature of the tank to at least 80-82 and add 1 tablespoon of salt per gallon.

I’ve been doing small water changes every few days to keep it a bit more under control. The 4th platy was a bit unexpected. It is a quarantine tank, they will be moved to a (cycled) 20 gallon hopefully soon.

Do a 80% wc and raise the temperature of the tank to at least 80-82 and add 1 tablespoon of salt per gallon.
The heater is not adjustable, it is set at something around 76 F. And just to confirm, that’s aquarium salt, correct?
