Is the platy male or female? I've had males who were absolute bullies

If a bala shark is a predator, it would be only because it is much larger than its companions. Relative to their size, your tetra would be more predatory,

Bala's are quite peaceful actually. They are a large fish that will need a very large tank, I assume you know that.

i do know that but in my mind a peaceful fish is a fish who could be with almost all fish
and i am getting rid of the sharks beacause the tank i was going to put them in (125gallon) cracked

Bala sharks are definitely not predators. They're extremely peaceful. They're schooling fish and need to be kept in groups of at least 6. 125 gallons isnt big enough for a school of balas.

Flowerhorns and Oscars are both gorgeous fish. I wish I had the room/money for another big tank so I could get one.
