HI all,
I have 2 green lantern platys who are acting weird.
Guy #1: I noticed a few days ago he was swimming with his tail fin clamped, and he looked skinnier than usual. His fins are NOT clamped continuously, and he is looking rounder now but...
Guy #2: Last night I saw him lodged between a plant and the driftwood- I thought he was stuck initially so used the net to try and dislodge him. He was not stuck though and was swimming almost at a 45 degree angle, not completely sideways, but looked like he was having trouble swimming and his butt looked like it was floating up out of his control. I though I noticed his gills were somewhat red, but now I’m not sure. I did test my water and there is no ammonia/nitrites and nitrates are less than 5ppm.
I’ve set up my quarantine tank in case I decide to move them into it. I don’t know if this matters, but these are the 2 less dominant platys- I have a third guy who is the boss so I dk if they were injured or what.
What do you recommend?
