I am looking to add some friends to my heavily planted 10 gallon tank in the next couple months. I currently have 3 platys. I was considering either adding 3 endlers livebearers or 2 fancy guppies. Which of these is a better option? I could also add 2 endlers if 3 would overstock my tank. Thank you for the help! :)

I would say the guppies, I have guppies and platys together and mine get along just fine.. Even play with each other. But that's just imo

With 3 platys already in there, I'd say you're fully stocked as is but I guess if you really wanted to add more fish, I'd choose 2 male endlers since they are smaller than guppies.

The reason I ask is because have a friend who is interested in trading two of his guppies for my platy. If I do this, and only have 2 platys in the 10 gallon, would 2 fancy guppies still be overstocking?

    No, that would be fine.
