Platy Plans - Any Issues?

Hello Everyone, new to the forum and wanted to try to get some input on an aquarium project I've started to try with my kids.

Here's what we have so far:

46 Bowfront - This was the original tank
- 1 medium/large Angel
- 1 4" Bristlenose Pleco
- 3 adult Platys (2 male, 1 female)
- 3 juvenile Platys (3 females)
- Kids aquarium decor
- SunSun 302 Canister filter

3 Gallon Desktop (A) - This tank was added to raise fry we found in the 46, now for birthing
- 1 adult, pregnant female Platy
- 4 fry of varying sizes
- Kids Aquarium decor and plastic grass for fry to hide
- Built in filter

3 Gallon Desktop (B) - This tank was added to help grow out some of the original fry
- 1 adult male Platy (trying to reduce aggression in the 46)
- Kids Aquarium decor and plastic grass for fry to hide
- Built in filter

75 Gallon - This used to be a turtle tank, but he passed and gave us the opportunity to try this plan
- 1 large comet
- 1 1"Bristlenose Pleco (we've had him for 2 weeks)
- 3 Java Ferns, 2 Crypt Wendtii, Java Moss
- Driftwood and Rocks
- SunSun 302 Canister filter
- Adding a 530gph powerhead this week

Now the plan. We want to keep 3 males and 9-12 females in the 46 while using the 2-3 gallons as originally intended and then begin to populate the 75 with whatever exceeds the plan for the 46. Does anyone see any issues with our plan or have ideas of how we could improve? Suggestion for other fish to add to the 75? We want to try to avoid getting rid of any fish if possible.

If you don't want to have to get rid of any fish, I suggest putting all the male platys in one tank and all the females in another-or you will end up with dozens of Platys you won't be able to get rid of. Then as the fry get bigger, separate the males from the females and relocate them to the gender specific tank's. Males typically won't fight if the aren't any females in the tank. Get the platy's out of the 3 gallon tanks. They're way too small for any fish. Put some shrimp or a nerite snail in the instead. Where are you planning on putting the Comet? They can exceed 10" -in length at maturity and are cold water fish (not tropical fish) so have completely different requirements than the other fish you have.
I suggest get another 45-50 gallon tank for the Comet himself (or get rid of him). Put the female Platys in the tank with the 75 with the Angel and a BN Pleco. Put the Male Platys in the 46 with the other BN Pleco.

Thanks for the feedback Momgoose. I knew if something had to go it would be the goldfish. I will look into finding someone local with a goldfish tank/pond. The angelfish is my son's and has lived in the 46 in his room since we got him so I would like to keep him there. Could we use the 3 gallons for birthing/grow out until the 46 and 75 are adequately stocked? I like the idea of having a male tank and a female tank once we're stocked.

x2!

If you still want to breed your platies, you can take a pair of your choice and put them in the 3 gallon for a few days. Then, you'll have enough fry to replenish your tank a once in a while, but it will be controlled and you won't be overrun.
