This female I have has been pregnant for at LEAST a month, and I know because she started getting larger and I was clearly able to see the eyes and shape of the platy babies through her since she's white in colour and easy to see through. The water quality and parameters are fine, the stocking level hasn't changed at all/isn't overstocked and she has plenty of places to hide. I don't understand it, I had added another platy to the tank when I originally added this one, and she became evidently pregnant around the same time as this one but she gave birth a week ago! Her behaviour hasn't changed at all, she isn't nervous or hiding. Is it possible for her to halt the pregnancy at this point? Is it possible something, I don't really know, went wrong? Or something to that effect?

I think the pH of the tank needs to be at a certain level I believe.
Genuinely? I've never heard of that before, I'll do some digging
