Platy Laying On Side Barely Swimming

I came home today and could not find my female Platy. After looking I found her laying on her side in the back corner of the tank, I thought she was dead so I went to remove her and she swam away from the net. I am really confused because I was only gone for a few hours and she was just fine when I left. I currently have her in a net so that the other fish won't bother her.

The tank is cycled.
Not sure what the parameters are but I did a water change 2 days ago.
There are 2 guppies, 1 blue gourami, 1 bristlenose pleco, and 1 other Platy with her in the tank.
The tank is 22 gallons.

Welcome to Fishlore!

Can you test parameters? How do you know it's cycled if you don't know the water parameters?

I originally had a test kit and the tank has been set up for almost 2 years now. I can pick up some test strips later today.

Rather than test strips, I would look into a liquid test kit. Much more accurate, and it give you an ammonia reading. If you're in the US or Canada, the API Freshwater Master Kit is great, and it's very reasonably priced on Amazon or Ebay.

I had a freshwater master kit and the results didn't differ at all from the strips. I just wanted to be able to give you quick results. I kept her in the net while I ran a few errands and she seems fine now. She is swimming better and not hiding from the other fish. Thanks so much for your help

I would still get the liquid kit because they test for ammonia, and they are cheaper per test. The strips were very inaccurate for me, too.

Hopefully she continues to feel better.

I don't have the money for a liquid kit right now but once I do I will get one. I will continue to monitor her For anymore issues. Thank you!

The kit is cheaper on Ebay or Amazon, by the way

In the mean time, water changes would be a good idea!
