Hello. I just noticed that my platty is laying on her side on the bottom of the tank breathing very heavily. Water parameters are fine and all the other fish are fine. I have moved her into a breeding net but she is laying on her side and breathing rather heavily. Any thoughts?

What are "fine" water parameters?

She looks to have a sunken belly. Has she been eating?

Ammonia is 0. Nitrite is 0. Nitrate is 10ppm. I think that she has been eating but I'm not sure because I have fish that look very similiar. She hasn't looked this bad though.

Is she new? It could be parasitic.

In all honestly though once they start falling on their side and breathing rapidly the end is usually fairly close.

Yes I got her about a week or 2 ago. Anything else I can do to help her?
