    Hey Guys;
    Just recently started up an aquarium, and one of the platys gave birth to a fry! It's sectioned off in my fish net rested on the top of the tank. Ordered a breeding net so will have to do until I receive it lol.

    What do I feed it? All the other fish are desperate to get to the little fellar! Also a random question my tank is set at 79F is this too hot?

    Hello Venom and Welcome to Fish Lore. I think your temperature should be ok. Crushing flake food is good as mentioned above. There is also a product called "First Bites" for fry that you may find at your LFS.
    Best of luck!

    If my platy has too many fry; would the LFS buy them from me?
    Is it best to sell as fry or as young fish.

    you'd have to ask your lfs, as each is different. i think hikari makes first bites, daniel.
