Platinum Betta...color Change?

I have owned bettas in the past. Once got a light white/blueone, and its colors developed into dark blue.

Just bought a “Platinum” Betta, wondering if anyone has had experiences with them also changing color later on.

Bettas change colors when they have the marble gene. It's a bit hard to determine if they have it until they start changing. Also when you buy a betta it might have immature colors. As for platinums no idea. I have never owned one

I personally don't think this is a platinum betta, they have a shiny metallic coating over their scales and fins which this male doesn't appear to have.

The marble gene can change color, and a good way to get some assurance that it is marble is if it's patterned, and this betta is straight white.
It very well could change color slightly, my white male like this one turned black on the head and mouth after a while.

That guy looks to me like he will stay white. IME, when they are going to change, they will have telltale signs such as veining or little hints of color at the edges of the fins and some scales. A white betta with colored fins will most often become another colored betta. This guy doesn't look to have any of those signs. Beautiful fish!

C0EE1633-FADE-451F-8FDE-2F4BF6C7A085.jpeg He’s beautiful! I hope he stays white my guess is that he doesn’t show any other colours at all so he might stay one colour! We got a little white/cellophane with hints of black on his fins and a couple of dark spots on his body. He’s gone through a miraculous change over the last month since we brought him home!

Cutie!
The fish in my avatar was almost totally white when I got him. He just had a few sprinkles of color on his body!

The one in my profile pic was solid white like yours. A couple months later she started morphing into a red color. You can see the start of it in the pics. The rest of her fins did this and it worked it way up her body.

i've had him for several months and so far he's stayed completely white. I was careful to look for one that didn't have any darker coloured flaws on its body.

He might get a little more pink to the body, he seems to be a small eared dumbo ear betta, which most often when this opaque white do not change color.
