I really don remember haw many plants I put in my aquarium since I bought it , and always happened the same, my silver dollars let them live for 3 or 4 days at least, and then they begin to eat it until its done ??? ???. Ive been trying with many kind of plants, short, tall, big leaves, small leaves, heavy and thin leaves.

Iam already beginning to think about using artificial plants. :'(

Any advice I s very well received.

Regards

My tank with silver dollars only has plastic plants for this reason. I tried to add live plants to their tank thinking "they can't be that bad" but found out that they will quickly rid the tank of any live plants I put in with them.

The last time I tried it I think it took about 10 minutes for them to figure out they could eat the new plants. I just had to laugh because I knew they would do it, I was just hoping they wouldn't.

"Begining to think about artificial"? Yeah you've thought about it. Artificial it is. ;D

Maida, some plants have thicker and sturdier leaves than others. One of them is Java Fern. Plants such as Java Ferns are known to have an unpleasant taste to plant-eating fish. They're simply not appealing to fish taste-wise. Maybe you could try using some Java Ferns? These plants are also low-light and can be attached to surfaces - being the plants that are easy to grow and that do not require a lot of maintenance.

Yup, try Java Fern...or just get a bunch of fake ones. Or both for variety.

You could also try and grow a moss wall.
