Dwarf hair grass can be tricky. You might want to go with an easier carpeting plant like Dwarf Subulata, anubias, java fern, and marimo moss balls are all easy good choices. Make sure to post a pic when you are finished planting
Thanks guys! Much appreciated for the suggestions and advice.Anubias(Tied to rock or driftwood), swords(with root tabs under them), hornwort(planted or floated),Anacharis(floated or planted), Cabomba. These are all pretty good to start out. Anubias will grow in pretty much low/medium light. Swords you'll notice the teardrop shaped leaves will turn and die off which is normal, they're just transitioning from emursed growth to submerged growth. Everyone here is very helpful so any questions you know where to go. Tank on
Appreciate the suggestionBacopa, Water wisteria, anubis are also a couple of other good begginer choices.
