Plants from Seeds Progress

I recently (5/3) got in some seeds for aquariums, this is going to be my minI catalog of what is going on and a list of what the plants should be, but until they sprout I will not be able to match them to what they are.

11 of 17 plants seeds planted in individual containers with notched lids to allow air passage and keep in humidity on 5/3/16. As my marimos are taking up most of my container spaces (my snails like to torture them, so they are packed together in same containers as new plant seeds) I only have 12 of them in use for the plant seeds right now.
As of 5/4 nothing had changed/no signs of sprouting.
As of 5/5 containers II, IV, VI, IX, and XI have showed signs of sprouting in one or more seeds. The containers are labelled with roman numerals because the slick lids are hard to draw circles on.

The list of plants that was on the page of seeds are as follows; the first names are the ones listed on seeds pages, the second are my guesses as to what they actually are.
1. mosI plant (moss, not triangular enough for christmas, maybe coral?)
2. eelgrass (corkscrew val?)
3. leaf binata (christmas moss?)
4. crown grass (melon sword)
5. hoi fan (water temple?)
6. red egg (red sword?)
7. waterwheel plantain (ocelot sword?)
8. water rong (sword or fern)
9. pagoda grass (cabomba)
10. banana plant
11. red chrysanthemum grass (red cabomba)
12. pepper plant (sword)
13. grass kelp (java fern/?)
14. ceratophyllum/myriophyllum (hornwort)
15. gold grass (rotala)
16. securinega red grass (red lotus)
17. pearl grass (monte carlo? baby tears?)

Sounds like an interesting project, are you going to keep a photographic record of their growth?

Where did you get the seeds?

I'll take pictures of the seeds and when they are grown, but other wise it would be fairly useless because they are tiny and I don't know exactly what they are.

Aliexpress - they came from china, took them a couple weeks.

5/6 Some of the "unsprouted" seeds seem to have a seam split near what would be the end most seeds sprout from (pointy end). IV appears to have more growth coming from the sprouted seeds (three total, one very sprouted the other two like the ones listed above; seam split).

5/7 container number III and V have both sprouted, X has seed "splits" which means it should emerge to sprouting stage within a day or two. All the other containers, sans II, IV, VI, IX, XI and those listed above, (I, VII, VIII) have yet to show signs besides swollen seeds. Container number XVIII shows signs of swollen seeds (these are banana plants).

5/8 container VII has sprouted, containers I and VIII are swollen and split but do not show signs of outward growth yet. All other containers (sans XVIII, which shows swollen seeds) have sprouted and seem to be doing very well. Will be dosing a small amount of nutrients to each to improve plant efforts towards growing. Will not be able to update while at work as I will be out of town.

5/13 (happy friday the thirteenth!) - no changes could be seen for me in the ones I was able to check (got in new plants, fish, and shrimp - had to worry about tanking them over getting a good look at the seeds). Will update better tomorrow!

5/14 - SUCCESS! Two of the containers now have green/leaves; containers numbered III and V both have grown enough to show actual plants (will get a couple pictures of those two) - the only other ones that show a little more growth over the last time I saw them are II and IV. The rest show no real noticeable growth that I can see compared to when I last looked at them.

I moved both plants from containers III and V into a holding net in my guppy tank so they can get better nutrients from the guppies and baby snails.
Container XVIII sprouted a few plants that are showing green; so far they are too tiny to really see them, but the leaves are more rounded! Will be moving them into a another holding net soon.

Great job - can you share details of product that you bought from Aliexpress? I did some research but it seems many sellers are just selling normal seeds in name of aquatic plant seeds.

I will see how they turn out; if they are nonaquatic I will be upset but I will still try and find out what they are. So far none of them have made the effort to get above the water line in the cups I have them in. So i'm leaning towards aquatic.
I have not planted/put in cups with all of the types that I have yet.
