Planting/decorating my 5 gallon

I have a 5 gallon with a betta and a horned nerite snail. It has one Anubis plant, one thick leaf anaciris plant and a little bit of hornwort that I moved over from another tank yesterday. She also has a betta log and a silk plant. My betta is active so I know she needs swim room but I was wondering if I should add more plants, or a small piece of driftwood or something.

You could get a small piece of driftwood. Also you can put java fern, anubias, or java moss on driftwood.
Thanks do you have an idea for driftwood type? I thought about spiderwood before.

I don't know what I have (got it on amazon) but go to your lfs or amazon and find what you would like best.
EDIT: I got mine from Hamiledyi

Just make sure you dont get wood that is too branchy. It can rip their fins.

Okay I'll make sure it's not. At least she has pretty short fins. So those plants should be good? I think I'll use lights but no fertilizer.

Sorry I haven't heard of those maybe someone else has. You will know if you need fertilizer. Maybe you can get away with just root tabs.

I think I'll try it and see how it goes. If it doesn't look healthy I'll move it to my 20 gallon since it gets up to 40 ppm nitrate.

Very nice but Bettas have floating plants in their natural habitat, I'm sure she'd appreciate some cover. Perhapse some Frogbit, Duckweed, or Red Root Floaters
EDIT: If you do go for floating plants it'd be a good idea to have a corral ready to keep them away from the filter or it can kill them.
