Planting bacopa...

I got some bacopa and there is 9 stems total, I put 3 together (to make 3 bunches of 3 stems) should I not do that and plant each stem by itself?

it's completely fine to plant them as bunches :)

I also just read that sometimes of they don’t have a good root system going then letting them float until they get good roots is better...
should I have done that?

I planted mine like this: each stem is a 1/2 inch apart. They are doing fine this way, and I don't know if there is a specific way they are supposed to be planted. I think what you have done will work just fine :). Also about floating them, I planted mine right away and they have been fine, so maybe just test some things out.
