CCAD76D0-76F1-4232-A64F-4A290617ABC4.jpeg I bought these seeds a few weeks ago (they are called glosso seeds) and I need help growing them.. my idea is grow them in soil in a little cup, when they start to sprout cover them lighly in substrate (so when it’s placed in my aquirum soil doesn’t go everywhere) .. let it grow a little more and put it in my aquarium still inside the cup. Does anyone have experience growing this? Thanks for any help!!

I grew them, but used the dry start method for the entire tank.

Your idea sounds like it would work. I would put a syran wrap over the cup to create some humidity so the sprouts don't dry out.

They're not glosso, glossostigma is a true aquatic carpeting plant. The plant in the appears to be Micranthemum monte carlo, which the seeds are not. Nobody really knows what these are but sometimes they grow into stem plants that resemble Hygrophila polysperma. There's no problem with growing them, just know ahead of time they won't grow into a true carpeting plant

Your plan looks good, check out other members' experiences here:

I intentionally just bought these from a Chinese seller for 3 dollars, they usually end up as hygro species, but not all are aquatic. I personally would love having that. However, I have seen people manage to carpet them but just trim constantly, but it was a good 3 inch tall carpet.
