Planted T, Little Bugs On Biofilm

So I have a 10 gallon planted tank that's been running for about 3-4 months. there is a corner of the tank that I let get covered in biofilm so that the Neocaridina, which are the only intentional organisms, can feed on it so on and so forth. Anyway I noticed a bunch of microscopic bugs, that reminded me of fleas, munching on the biofilm. Any clue what they are and are they harmless? Gonna exponetially increase Nitrates?

Paramaters are all 0 except for:
tds which is 100
gh which is 6/7
kh is 4/5
ph is 7.6
temp is 24c 73f rough conversion

also thanks for any advice

Microscopic would need a microscope, as bacteria. Do you just mean very small, as flea sized?

Sounds like your tank isn't cycled yet. This can be dangerous for your Shrimp especially.

It also sounds like you have some daphnia in your tank. Great fish food

What makes you think it isn’t cycled it’s been running for like 4 months. I’ll look up pics of daphnia.

Can you take pictures of the biofilm munchers?

How small are newly hatched Neocaridina?

Paramecium are that size. I breed them for feeding fry. I believe they are among the largest single celled organisms.

Any idea how their large number will affect nitrate?

Their bioload is exceptionally small - I wouldn't worry about it affecting nitrates

Just watched my neocaridina fry eating the seed shrimp.
