Hi all, I was looking to add some live plants to a 20 gallon tall tank, it has a medium strength light and 1 betta living in it. I currently have jungle val and dwarf water lily, and I was looking for some other plants to add some more hiding places for my fish. Any suggestion?

Are you looking for low tech plants then? If so anubias nana & java moss are great, you can tie them onto driftwood and they will do well.

Also, frogbit, duckweed & azolla are all floating plants that my betta loves.

In addition to what the others suggested, if you can get your hands on some Nymphoides hydrophylla "taiwan" I highly recommend it. It can double as a rooted plant and floating plant, because it grows from the substrate and reaches the surface until it floats just under the water line.

It's also very prolific and grows fast under ideal conditions.
