    hi
i have just bought some new plants for my daughter's aquarium as she has 2 pregnant dalmation mollies and we want to give the fry somewhere to hide when they are big enough to go back in the main area, before i put the plants in do i need to do anything? should i put them in a bucket of water from her aquarium for a day or 2?
    thanks

That's really not necessary. You may want to dip them in a weak solution of bleach water (19 parts water, 1 part bleach) for a few seconds to kill any snails or eggs that may be on the plants. Make sure you rinse the plants well in fresh water and extra dechlor to remove the bleach before putting the plants into your tank.
