It's a really easy plant to care for and propagate, looks great too, simply cut the stems when they need a trim and replant the cutoff... my rooted wisteria was in an inch or less of sand substrate with no root tabs or anything so you don't need anything special. At one point I was literally throwing out grocery bags full of this stuff every month. I've since moved on to other plants but I miss the jungle island kinda look, might add some of it back in...

Yours looks to be emersed grown, so there's a strong possibility that it may die back until underwater growth has developed.
