Java Ferns have a rhizome which looks like a green stick that leaves grow out of. Does this plant have a Rhizome? If so is it buried in the substrate? Java ferns do much better attached to wood or rocks :) They may rot if buried in the substrate. Hope that helps :)

Thanks it is on a stick and we were told not to bury it or it might die lol so it's not buried and has actuall grown a little bit since being in the tank
