Plant Grow lights on tank?

Hello, in the past I've used a plant grow bulb to light a tank while I was waiting for my actual light to come in the mail. I was wondering if anyone has used plant grow bulbs or grow lights on their tanks and had good results with the plants?

Hello, while I have never used plant grow lights on a tank, I’ve heard they work great for growing aquarium plants as well as land plants. I was considering getting one for my own tanks however I personally am deterred by the pinkish hue to the grow lights. I think this is why most don’t use them.

Yes I have noticed a different hue to the grow lights. The tank that had the temporary grow light only had slow growing plants so I might just have to set up a separate tank with some stem plants and do an experiment.
