Plant clippings

ATM, I would love to have some plant clippings.  I have three 10 gallon tanks and one 5 gallon.  My tanks are all low light.  I live in Oregon, around Portland.  Do you know what the shipping cost would be?

I'm sending them for free, as of now I have just a few that I'm transfering to my 29 but in a week or two I should have plenty with my co2 as long as it doesn't leak like last time, I'm hopefully setting it up tomorrow but I got all the stuff today. What type of bulb do you have over your five gallon, if it's what I think it is you can grow most of the plants that I have in there but not in the ten.

I will soon have the light that they make for the Kritter Keeper. I am just waiting for the opportunity to go to petsmart to get it.

O do you know how many watts it is? Is your tank the screw in incadescent type because you can buy compact fluescent bulbs for that which are great to grow plants with and make your tank look really nice for 5$ at wal-mart.

I'm not sure about the wattage or the kind of light yet, but expect to find out on Tuesday, when I go into Portland. How do I go about giving you my address for the plants to be shipped to?

You would PM it to me but I don't have any plants yet and still working out the cheapest method, just leave a post under my post in the buy sell and swap section and I'll get back to you when I have some. lets continue this discussion there so were no hijacking this post.

Austin,

If you do not have plants yet, don't you think it is a bit premature to ask people if they want your cuttings? You posted on the Trading Post that you had plants and how you were raising them...???

Usually hornwort shedding isn't a water quality issue, in a bad way. Maybe just not enough nutrients.
ATM- glad you want to share your plants but maybe you need to wait until you have them before giving them away

Hehe....

Anywho! We weren't able to get to that fish store today. It was raining pretty bad all day long and bf just didn't want to go out (no matter how much I bugged him heh)

We better be going next weekend though! lol The pics of their store on their website looks really promising and I'm hoping they're going to be a very knowledgable place with lots of healthy plants and fish and things we can come back to to get our supplies from
I think I might try out a java fern for our tank right now.
See how that goes and if all goes well, get another and another to eventually replace all of the plastic plants.
I just love looking through the photo section here at all the pretty planted tanks!

I was asking to see how many people would be interested here so I could find out the interest before posting in a plant forum, I'll remove my post then since I guess I'm not allowed to do that.

nice thing about real plants is you don't have to clean them shollia, unless you get algae
