Planning The Stock For My Second Tank Question

    Hey everyone,

I'm planning on starting up a second betta tank this summer-- I want to do something big enough for me to add other fish, but still as small as possible because large tanks are unfortunately not feasible for me for a few more years. So I've been doing a lot of research and I think I've decided I would like to get a 9 gallon tank (I really want a UNS rimless tank) with a betta, 6 peppered corys, and a nerite or two.

    Would that work?

    Short version:

    Tank dimensions are: 17.8 x 11 x 11
    1 male betta
    6 peppered corys
    1-2 nerites

    AqAdvisor has me at 117%

How about some pygmy cory's? They stay much smaller and are really the only ones suitable for a small tank.
I think the stock would be perfect if you simply switched the cory type though

Oh darn I thought peppered corys were pygmys! In either case I definitely will get pygmys!

It's the Salt & Pepper / habrosus that are the dwarf species, not the Peppered ones :)

Got it thank you! They're adorable! Updated aqadvisor stock is 73% so that sounds good to me!
