Hello Everyone,
I am in the process of planning out my 75 gallon tank so I can size up my vision of my 5.5 gallon tank. I had an idea of the components I needed, but it never donned on me how to figure out how much substrate I am going to need. I tried the Eco-Complete in my 5.5 gallon tank and it was kind of pain to plant in. I am going to give Fluval Stratum a go for the bigger tank. Ive tried looking around and the most general tip I found was 1lb per gallon. Is this a safe rule to go by to end up with 3+ inches of substrate?
Thanks!
