Planaria??????

I’ve been out of town for a number of days and had someone feeding for r me. Got home today and did a partial water change. Notice my Betta Tank had a white, almost hair like worm swim quickly across the tank. Is this planaria? I have never had them. Couldn’t get a pic. How do I get rid of them and do they harm the fish?

 

Are you sure it was actually living? It could just be debris moving by current.

 

I think you’re really right. I looked again and I think it was a piece off guppy grass caught up in current. Thanks so much. Chalk that one up to stupidity!

Could be detritus worms... They are very thin like a hair but only about 1/4 inch. Planaria look like flat worms.

I understand they stick to the glas too. Nothing on my glass. I think I over reacted too quickly.

 

Planaria does stick to the glass. Detritus worms are in the water or substrate.

Detritus worms are yummy according to corys, danios and guppies. You haven’t been back long enough for panic! Remember the country!

It made me want to run right back when I looked at my tank!
