looking for true pink or red ramshorn snails.

I got some red Ramshorn's from Amazon several years ago and still maintain a huge population from those 5 original snails. The snails are truly red but the shells are white. They are also available on eBay. Not sure if there's a source on this forum. Good luck!

Here's a couple of my red ramshorns grazing. Ignore the bba. My lighting is a little too high. Been trying to figure out how to correct that!

Oohh those are pretty! I’m surprised your rams haven’t made quick work of the BBA . What else do you have in the tank with the rams? If you minimize your feeding regimen they find other sources to eat ( BBA) . In my experience it isn’t their favorite food but when they don’t have much else to eat they go to town on that stuff.

I’m in southern Arizona , I did find some about half an hour ago on eBay but I’d like to leave this post up because I’m always looking for contacts that have them for the very near future. What do you have available?

Yay! Glad you found some. I was searching Amazon for you. Cheapest I found was a mixed lot of 10 ramshorns for $6.99 + $4.99 shipping. You'd probably get mostly brown ones though. I didn't realize how expensive they are. Weird because they are so easy to breed. I am sitting on a gold mine! I even dump out the ones that get sucked up during water changes. Might have to stop that!

Please remember the BST board is not a discussion/advice board, only post if you have what the Op is looking for, thanks

This is why I wanted to go through you guys, since when did snails have long green luscious hair? This is like a bad herbal essence commercial!

If you are still looking I can probably scrounge up 5 or so pink/reds that are clean with good shells. They have a red to pink foot with a light colored shell.
Pay for shipping and you can have them. (They can go small flat rate for 7.20.)
