I'm looking to upgrade my tank to a much bigger one so I can house all the fry and have more corydoras. The amount of fry was of course an accident but they're all welcome to me
Hey. Others right of course. Too many in too little. It’s amazing how fast Teeny tiny fry can add up when it comes to bioload. Add “tons” of snails and your bioload is just too much. Oy. Because of the snails, I’d suggest giving him either salt or methylene blue baths. Keep your water change schedules. Please please get a liquid test kit. Dissolved aquarium salt (1/2 teaspoon in 3 1/2 liters of water) for 15 minutes a few times a day. Mblue follow directions on bottle. These baths can help prevent this irritation from becoming a full blown infection.
It will be best to not only upgrade to a bigger tank, but to get another tank as well. The fry are growing. Before you know it, you’ve got more. And more. I understand totally. My guppies are going to be the death of me.
I’m leaning towards irritation because it gets better after water changes. Cyst or tumor wouldn’t get better. Tell me what you’re thinking.
