pineaple pleco

hI can anyone help me ? I have a pleco and have been told its a pineapple pleco,but he does`nt loook like any pics I have seen,if anyone could have a look at the pics and let me know anything about him that would be great,as having problems finding info on him, thanks.

 

How long have you had him and has he always been colored the way he is now?

I am at a loss but will do some checking with some folks I know.

we`ve had him just under a week,and far as I know his always had that colouring ,we were told his very rare ,and that there's only 3 in the country,thanks for trying hope you come up with something I can't find anything on him

 

wow he might get ya some money! that is if you gave him up..

 

It looks like the body of a , but with an albino head or something like that. Not sure if that is a birth defect or hybrid strain that is being bread, or if it's just an entirely different pleco all together . In any event, you might try posting that pic in the as they might be able to help more. And of course let us know if they tell you .

Wow, that's pretty interesting. Looked up that fish on planetcatfish and it seems that it actually will change from gold to the brown color. . Nice find there SHPEPoser.

 

I actually read that only males have that gold color. And it starts all over the body and eventually goes away in captivity.
