Pilo Moss

New to these species of moss. Any tips for best results. Eco complete substrate 2 finnex stingrays 30inch 29 gallon tall. Want to get it attached to the substrate. Using easy green for fertz.

Not sure, it's a new moss in the hobby. Aka pillow moss purchased from Lucas Bretz lrbaquatics.

Yeah, that does look like Java moss.

Seems like quite a few people sell it.


It’s a slow growing creeping moss like weeping moss but it’s moss so it doesn’t need any different care to any common moss.

That's Java moss bruh.

Pillow moss, Leucobryum albidum, is a terrestrial moss often used in terrariums for species that require a high humidity, such as tropical frogs, salamanders, and some invertebrates. It will die underwater. We sell it at our pet shop in dried clumps that revive when they are exposed to moisture.

EDIT: I am mistaken, did not realize "pilo" moss was it's own thing and not a mispelling of "pillow".

It was sold to me as rare pilo moss purchased from Lucas Bretz lrbaquatics I seen him use it in most of his tanks. I doubt that he would have sold me something different.

I just put it in the tank yesterday.
