Pics Of Drilling Holes For Sump On An Aio Acrylic Tank

Hey guys- I picked up a 125g AIO acrylic tank and decided to remove everything from the overflow area and drill holes in the bottom for a sump. I came to this decision because I want a mixed reef tank and want a larger protein skimmer than a HOB, a refugium, and I don’t want anything hanging off the tank, so it can go up against a wall. I could probably get away with the current setup for awhile, but I’d rather build it right once.

I plan on doing a bean animal overflow with a 40-48” sump, 7” filter sock, Reef Octopus Classic 150EXT 6” recirculating skimmer, and a Sicce or Vectra return pump. I was looking for some pics or videos of an AIO drilled in the bottom for a sump application. Any help would be great!

I hope so too! I love the tank. Wasn’t planning on getting a tank quite so big, but it was too good of a price to pass up.

Yeah, I want a clean look and I want the flexibility and redundancy of the sump setup

 

I built or expanded / improved all my sumps .
I run a fresh water 180g in my living room with the sump in my basement fish room !
Are the return pumps DC ? Go DC ...

I was thinking DC pump for adjustability. We will see what the budget is when buy everything
