Petsmart Sale

Everyone may know this already but I see petsmart is having a sale on fish. Looks like most tetras and other fish are 80 cents. I may have to keep this inmind when I go to look at getting my new 75g.

 

Oy, are they doing anything else for black friday? like tanks, stands, filters, lighting, etc?

 

too bad I don't have the tank space right now lol

They had some stuff for smaller tanks and I think I saw a fluval 205 for like $60

 

theyre also have a 5 for 4 dollars on select tetras, danios, platys, guppys, mollies and barbs. ill be getting 10 cherry barbs if they do. just 8 dollars!!!

I got neon tetras and guppies from petsmart today! 12 neons and 2 guppies for $12.87! floating them right now! I though I might not get any since it was noon when I got there. they still had quite a few fish left.

 

I got some platys and some otos (they weren't on sale, but I just couldn't resist!). I got there at 8 and there weren't many fish left.

 

I stopped off on the way home, and picked up 4 Harliquins, 1 more Peppered Cory, and a Japanese moss ball. I would have liked to buy 1 or 2 more moss balls, but that was the only one they had.

I also got some more food ( I hear fish like to eat ) and another bubble wand.

 

I didnt get to get anything

 

Going to my local petsmart today that is about 45 minutes from home. Want to check out prices on a 75g. Doubt I will buy any fish as my 20 gallon and 10 gallon are stocked good already. I am hoping to find a good deal on a 75 and stand. Will also check the LFS in town as they stock used tanks also.

 

I got a 50-foot Aqueon water changer for $35.

 

Petco online is also having a sale. 20-50% off on most things and free shipping for $49 and up. I was looking at the Eco-Complete $15.99 per bag.

OMG I was there yesterday and they had some setups (Tank, stand, hood, light) for like HUGE discounts! Too bad I'm broke lol! But good luck, they had some great stuff!

 

It was a great sale! Half off gouramis too! I got 1 dwarf red fire gourami, 6 platys, and 8 ghost shrimp for 12.86! Our local petsmart had quite a few fish left except for what I went for! I went to get some zebra danios and they didn't have any left.

I'm pretty sure a couple of the Platys I got are knocked up. Time will tell!

GloFish are $2.99 each. Good thing my 20 long is full of bettas

 

How have your cardinals been that you've got from there? I was thinking of adding a few to my school.

 

I have not cardinals there but in the last few months I have 11 fish from there and all have been healthy. I got 3 fish from a LFS and two of those died and the tanks were not nearly as kept up as the petsmart's ones in my area were.

Saw that the other day. I may get the Glolight tetra's ( $1.00 )
I know I said I would never get any more fish from Petsmart ( due to the Danios all dying off ) I noticed that these GL's were very small and looked pretty healthy. So........ I may stop in tonight and pick up another 8 to round off my school ( only have 4 of the GL ones right now )

I've gotten all my Neons and Cardinals from PetSmart whenever they have their $1 sale, I've always had good luck with them.

 

I got all six of my Cardinals from Petsmart and they've done great and look great.

 

I'm off to grab 6 or 7 Cardinals.

 

Ooh maybe I'll go check them out tonight too!

 

I was thinking Cardinals too but I don't know the difference between them and the Neons? Any one care to explain? Will they do okay in my 36 gallon with 4 Glolights and 5 Ember tetra's?

Inch longer? So how big in general do they get? Bigger than say Zebra Danios? So I probably should only get no more than 6????? Easy to care for like other Tetra's?

 

Ohhhhh thanks AP! I actually love my PS here and was not aware of this sale. But I have eyed a lot of that list but refused to pay the price they want. Tomorrow I am getting my already cycled 40gal (freebie btw woot woot) so I just may have to take a trip over there!!! Thanks!!!

Also, I know neons aren't the best choice with Blood Parrots, how about the cardinals??

 

My neons have always been below an inch and a half, and I've had cardinals that have grown to over 2 1/2. Six sounds like a good number

I would actually try to get 8 Cardinals for your tank Jwebbe and up your other tetra species by 2. The reason why I picked Cardinal over Neons in your tank is because I know you were thinking of getting an Angelfish as well.

They have low bioload.

Not sure about the Angelfish anymore - maybe later on when I get a bigger tank and get more experience with all of this...

Hmmm decisions! decisions! Neons being on the $1.00 sale changes everything! lol

Wow your tank is beautiful!!! I didn't realize you were so heavily planted!!! I recognize some of the fish such as the Angels and Cardinals but what is the one that's orangish with a black triangle? toward the tail? That is really cute!!!
