Petsmart or Petco

petsmart is much better the fish at petco are sick and the guys at the fish section look like they are working at the boa constictor section

 

sadly I don't have a mom and pop store in VA so I'm stuck with chain stores but of the two definitely petsmart, petco has all the supplies and more Freshwater fish but the petsmart have an amazing aquarium set up with live corals and marine fish you can purchase, you aren't aloud to tough the tanks or go in without an adult! also all the fish are in great shape too bad its further away then I would like. but its great, I wish they sold community Freshwater fish... maybe ill post a complaint about that.

 

I find that all the Petco's I've gone to so far in UT are pretty good and have a pretty good staff too. They always ask questions about ur aquarium and seem to be a verteran at this but I would prefer stores that aren't huge chain stores

 

I like Petsmart, but Jacks Aquarium and Pets is my fish store. I love how helpful and kind they are. Their fish are so healthy.

 

Well, I like petsmart because they have a bigger variety than petco but i've heard that petsmart treats they're bettas horribly!

 

Only the one dead fish? Last time I was in a Petco, the entire saltwater fish section was floating belly up and no one seemed to care.

 

I hate both. I'm not a chain fan. I will sometimes buy supplies from petsmart because i'm poor and their chemicals are way cheaper then my two LFS but I fell dirty when I do.
