Petsmart Deal Of Deals

Petsmart has a sale that I couldn't believe. I was planning to buy a 90 gallon tank when I moved to Daytona Beach in June. Went into Petsmart and the manager saw me looking at a 75 gallon tank. Tells me it is 25% off and another 75% off. So the 75 gallon marine land tank, black wood stand, glass canopy, led light.
$100.00. Called my friend that has a pickup and he agrees to pick it up tomorrow and says I'll get one also. Paid a little over $200 for both. For $100 I couldn't say no. My same friend will help get it to Florida for me. I will fill it up with water to make sure it doesn't leak and drain it and wait till June.

All tanks with stands. They were overstocked and needed to make space. I think they over ordered and didn't sell the stuff for Christmas. I looked at my wife ( she's a keeper) and she looked at me and she said get it. We won't even set it up Until Daytona.

 

Yeah, was interested in a 36g bow front on sale for $125- exactly half off. But yours seems too good to be true!

 

I am in GA now. Not sure if it is only that Petsmart or all of them. They even had a 125 but couldn't talk my wife into that. 6 feet long. Lots of 75's, 60's.

That's what I have now. A 36 bowfront and a 20 gallon tank.

As you know TexasDomer I was planning a 90 gallon when I got to Daytona but couldn't pass this deal up. Now I just need to figure out what filters and heaters to get.

Is it true that an empty 75 gallon tank is 140 lbs. I guess I will be finding that out. Never thought it was that heavy.

We picked up Both tanks today. Tank not to bad picking up With two people. Made two trips with a pickup truck. My friend has sand and water, filter and heater in it. Mine is empty but I will fill with water and leave for a couple of days to make sure there are no leaks.

 

I would’ve liked to check out deals today. But just too super cold! Plus our furnace blower broke yesterday and set use back over $500, so that was no fun!

 

I am not sure it will be at all Petsmart. They had about 10 75's on the floor after we took 2. Would love to know if the sale is at all Petsmarts.

Nope. Not all Petsmarts. My Petsmart had no such deal. Ed, you must be one happy and lucky man!!! Why would your local Petsmart keep 10+ 75 gallon tanks in inventory?!

 

Either someone screwed up Ordering them or they didn't sell as many as they thought they would. I am attaching receipt just in case anyone is doubting what I paid.

No. I couldn't believe it unless I was there. Was planning to get a 90 in 4,5 months when I moved but just looked at my wife, she looked at my wife and she said get it.

When bringing it home I walked in without tank and told my wife they sold all of them and they gave me the 120 gallon for the same price. 120 was 6 feet long instead of 4 for the 75. You had to see the look on her face. It was priceless. I quickly told her I was kidding. 6 feet would be a little too large for the wall it will go against.
