Funny Percy Pleco - "this Is My Carrot.....go Away...it's Mine....all Mine!!"

Decided to give my Percy the Pleco a little treat, a slice of cooked carrot....and he loves HIS carrot, absolutely adores HIS carrot He will sit there hugging & nibbling HIS carrot and give the evil eye to anyone who comes too close to HIS carrot

He hasn't realised yet that Vettel & Hamilton, the Kissing Gourami's, are also quite partial to a quick nibble of his carrot as soon as his back is turned

 

pagoda I just tried a steamed carrot yesterday in my loach tank. My clown loach chewed away happily for hours making the Bristlenose wait his turn! Wonder if they can see in the dark better now? Those are beautiful Gourami's!

 

I can say with some assurance that no, they don't see better in the dark after eating carrots.....the number of faceplants into the sand, plants or glass have not been reduced....but then my bunch of hooligans rarely ever look where they are going anyway

Thank you for the compliments on Vettel & Hamilton.....I won't tell them though as they are already enough trouble (they are moving to a second aquarium in the next week or so and I have not told them yet, so am anticipating much fin stamping and stroppiness)

This is Jack. There’s a very unhappy snail who loves HER carrot, but obviously lost that battle! She’s pouting on the glass now. (Sorry about picture quality. This gazillion dollar phone is awful.)

 

I forgot. This is Jack’s version of a face-plant.

 

Percy has now moved to bigger things....quite an intelligent chap really....he can even take his own temperature whilst hanging off the thermomenter
