Peppered Cory fry, week old.

Hatched around the 16th, 7,8 maybe 9 lol peppered Cory fry though one is much lighter colored than the others. Been doing daily partial water changes in a 1.5 gal shoebox tote with an air stone on low. Had been feeding egg yolk, stepped up to BBS the other day. Seem to be growing well. First time raising egg laid fry. Mystery snail clutch hatched as well, so those are in with the fry. At what point size wise should I move them from the tote? They’re week old Endler sized now.

 

I usually keep them seperate-if i seperate-until they can handle small flakes so they can be fed with the rest of the tank or they are big enough to not easily get eaten. Just how i do things, though.

These are fun little ones, maybe more so than the Endlers lol Between them, the mystery snails and the Endlers, I should set up a grow out tank and trade fish/snails for roaches lol

One of the best rewards of keeping "Wet Pets".
When I first started , I had 4 Peppered cories. Now and then I would see eggs, during water change one day after about a year, I was surprised by a bit of movement. Turns out to be a fry, then another. Being a newbie I had no idea how to help but they grew up in a planted community. Mother Nature at her finest.
