Should I feed my neon tetra pea? One of my neon keeps swimming facing down. And he is not bloated or something. I guess it's swim bladder problem. his colour are perfectly fine.
I read some forum post and they fed their neon pea somehow they died.
If that's work, I'm gona try it. I'm going to get raw peas , should I boil them first? And how many peas can feed 18 neons?

I've never heard of feeding peas to neons, but live and learn, I guess.
To prepare fresh vegetables for fish, I first par boil them and then either cut or crush to size, if needed, depending on the fish.
Frozen commercial veg can just be thawed and served, as it has already been parboiled prior to freezing.
Seems very obvious, so forgive me for mentioning this, but never feed tinned veg to your fish (or yourself, for that matter ), as it is extremely high in salt.-----rick

If you are feeding them a good quality food, they don't *need* cooked de-shelled peas. New Life Spectrum foods have veggies, fruits, garlic, an antI parasitic and other goodies healthy for your fish. Even if you were dealing with bloat (you said you aren't, but if you were) it is much easier and less messy to feed them brine shrimp.

Make sure you are not dealing with the beginning stages of Neon Tetra Disease. Take a close look at the fins and make sure they're okay. If the fins are damaged they won't be able to swim properly.

I feed my 8 Zebra danios peas atleast once a week.
What I do is microwave about 10 peaces for 10 seconds.
Then pull of the thick shell around pea.
Then feed to fish.
Works a gem it keeps the fish happy.

Do you just pop them in whole or crush cut them up smaller?? I have 2 zebra danios 3 cloud mountain minnows and 7 neon tetras. So was thinking of doing this too

when you peel the shell of the pea should split in half from there just crush it up and chuck in tank
