Pavestone Play Sand

I know play sand is frowned upon, but I have a used 55gal I'm setting up and figured id try it. "Pool store closed" I grabbed a 50lb bag of pavestone brand play sand from walmart for 3.50 today. I'm pretty blown away by how good the quality of it is. Its super white and after cleaning, it is not clouding up at all! Sand can be hit or miss tho, just wanted to share.



These are from right when I added it and its not cloudy... pretty satisfied.

Yeah I expected the worst. Gonna grab a couple more bags for later use.

 

I paid 13 bucks for a 25 pound bag of pool sand before I never bothered to rinse it either and had no issues.

Wow even my pool filter sand I had to clean. It took me about 45 mins to clean the play sand with 2 buckets.

 

I must have got lucky
