Party at Neptune's tank - 6 g finally cycled!

Well, the party was at Neptune's tank tonight - we are finally cycled ;D and he moved home with his new cave this morning. He didn't much like going into the cup while I acclimatized him - as I was advised by a helpful person on the "Nitrogen Cycle" forum, since PH was different.

When I put him in, he went crazy flaring at the background of his tank - same one as before, but I think he could see his reflection. It was so funny.

His tail showed a few new frays this morning, but I am not medicating him, and was afraid he would get too stressed, I finally had to get a funky scrapbook 12 x 12 paper with sparkles (!!!) and make a new background. He immediately stopped flaring and started exploring, and went into his cave immediately.

So, we all raised a glass or two or three to this great accomplishiment. Feb. 9 til May 24th....LOL :-\ :-[ :-\

I am keeping the other tank up and running just in case I decide to medicate, so will try to cycle it. YAY...It's good news week................Val ;D

And wait til you read what else..................... :

That wall paper is great ;D So glad he likes it. That gives me some great ideas for my own tanks =)) Congrats on the FINALLY cycled tank :

 

Ohhh he is a beauty!!! ;D Love the all black.. very striking! and.... I love.. love the funky background, its really kewl! ;D

 

Whatever works for the fish is an okay background. I got my mom to buy some of the foil from a florist that they use to put on pots when they wrap them to send them out for Alex's tank. He went bananas when he had a picture of any kind. I love the circles of sparkles you have used. They really show the fish off. Neptune is such a lovely dark color and takes a special background anyway.

I do hope he is really enjoying his tank by now. I love the idea of a tank warming party and celebrations for your fish. After all, they are family members and it makes them feel special. He will get over the cup experience soon. I bet he has forgiven you already now that he has all that exploring to do.
