Panther Crabs

Does anyone currently or have previously owned these particular crabs before? My crayfish just passed (bad molt) and am looking to replace him, and cannot for the life of me find any information on these panther crabs besides size and tank requirements. any info on temperament and general information is greatly appreciated. I'm assuming their care requirements are similar to the freshwater crayfish, but just want to be sure!

It's not an awful lot of information though. I'm also interested , I've never been able to find out much about them myself.

I know it's not a lot I looked around to and couldn't find anything.

 

I did some research around my local stores and found some info on them actually. One guy owned on a while a go, and apparently it got about 12in in diameter, and was taking out his african cichlids. He said as for water parameters it was just like taking care of a crayfish, a very large very predatory crayfish haha

Wow. I haven't heard of them getting anywhere near that large. Maybe he had a different crab? I'm unaware of any non saltwater crab that gets that large in truth.

 

www.eliteinverts.com/panther-crab/ has information on them it sys they get 4-8 cm I thinks that's 2-3 inches
