PANIC TIME! - NFL Free Agency

I thought with all the chaos of a certain virus flying around we could use a bit of fun. Sports may be cancelled but free agency is still on! This may be the best stuff we've got right now! Title is shamelessly a play on the virus thread title

Now you may have thought your local Target was pure chaos with a severe lack of toilet paper and bread. But I now welcome you to the real chaos of NFL free agency. Who knows what's going to happen! This first day of legal tampering has been absolutely insane. And we still have at least 3 days of chaos ahead of us still.

Notable moves that have happened so far:
  • Bizarre trade between the Texans and Cardinals sending RB David Johnson to the Texans and WR DeAndre Hopkins to the Cardinals and a mash of draft picks flying every which way.
  • WR Stefon Diggs traded to the bills for a slew of draft picks
  • WR AmarI Cooper resigns with the Cowboys for a literal boatload of money
  • TE Austin Hooper signed a record breaking deal with the Browns.
  • QB Dak got tagged
  • QB Kirk Cousins signed a massive extension...
  • A whole lot of people are getting paid a whole lot of money. Especially offensive line and defensive line who are cashing in big time.

Thoughts, comments, concerns? How do you think your team is doing, what do you want to see? Also make fun of your rival's poor moves because why not? They screwed up let em know

Personally as a Packers fan here I love our moves so far. Two cheap grabs at RT and ILB which seem solid. If they don't pan out no problem it's cheap to cut them. Phenomenal structuring of their contracts. The chaos has been addicting to follow as well. Teams overpaying right and left, signing trash for a lot of money and making weird trades that make 0 sense. I got a nice long laugh out of the Texans for that one today. Overall though a lot of very nice signings for a lot of teams. Oh also I would like to take a moment to laugh at the Vikings for extending Kirk Cousins on a massive deal, their super bowl-less lives shall now continue through 2022 And also the bears for signing Jimmy Graham to a big contract when he hasn't been any good since 2014. We made that mistake already now he gets to waste their cap space Guys did you know he played basketball?

Let the chaos continue!

Browns fan here. I also love the Falcons and love that we picked up Austin Hooper! Do not forget Case Keenum, the only reason we signed him was that we got the Vikings OC. Nice move, huh? Also, Falcons picked up Hurst in a trade, I have never seen him play but hopefully, he can replace Hooper. Also, Falcons, get an O-Line!

Ya'll have had a pretty good go so far! I liked the Hooper grab even though he was expensive. Glad you got him and not us so we can make a pass at Cory Littleton. I really hope Keenum can successfully come back after that gruesome injury. He'd give some healthy competition at the QB spot and potentially take over as a solid starter. If not he's a strong backup still. And on top of it all ya still got a huge chunk of money to play with over the next few days. Maybe the Browns can finally turn things around.

Yeah, Baker needs to step it up at spring camp and stop doing so many commercials. But we also bring in these pretty good quarterbacks and then we let them rot on the bench, the same thing happened with Tyrod Taylor. Hopefully, we actually use him.

People mentioned not postponing free agency was a bit foolish but I actually appreciated the distraction today.

Same. Really gave me something to look forward to. It is going to a bit wonky now because teams and players are agreeing to deals but they're dependent on physicals and team facilities are closed. So it's either neutral ground physical or wait. Can't even have the players in for a while yet. It's so odd.

One analyst said “The Texans trades D-Hop for a ham sandwich” and I agree lol!

It’s been a crazy free agency so far but I love all the moment and it should be a great year.

And Rev GO PACK GO

Ayyy there we go!

The Hopkins trade was utterly bizarre. I mean given what was behind the scenes makes sense that they would trade him but didn't think they'd trade him for a bag of chips.

I want to know where the Falcons got the money for Gurley cuz last thing I knew they were broke. Especially since they're eating over 10mil in dead cap this season.
