Panda Themed Aquarium

OK so I've been toying with the idea of creating a panda themed aquarium to accommodate my two panda goldfish. Probably will be about 180 litre, planted with black substrate. Temp at about 22c

So I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions for small black/white/marble/silver fish I could include with them.

I've read that some mollies and platys have the same temp range as goldfish and are community fish but having never owned them am wondering if the mollies will pick on the gf or vice versa.

I do have a 90g goldfish tank if things go south!

Thanks for any advice

It’s always 50/50 with goldfish. You can try things like panda cories, dalmation mollies, or maybe a spotted pleco? Maybe a snowball pleco?

If you can find some large panda platies, those should work

Yes, my lfs has some nice balloon mollies so I was wondering of getting some plus a snowball pleco.

I'll check those out thanks!

I would raise the temp a little higher for the pleco, maybe 72-73F would be better for all.

Resident Brit so always forget Fahrenheit conversion. Is that equivalent to 22/23c degrees?

The formula for Celsius to Fahrenheit is (Cx1.8)+32=F

So 22 degrees Celsius would be 71.6 in Fahrenheit.

Cool! 72-73 is what my main tank is naturally so that should work for everyone

And platies are good from 18-26C, so they work with a lot of set ups, as long as you can find some 2-1/2 to 3" ones they should be fine.

Awesome thanks! Will probably get some nice large panda platys, mollies and snowball pleco if I can find one.
