hey so I just had a panda garra jump out of my tank overnight. the tank has a full lid with spots for the filter and heater so that’s were he must of escaped from. I know it’s not a pleco but I need a new algae eater and I was wondering if plecos jump?

Aw, sorry about your garra, that stinks
Plecos don't really jump, but they could certainly make it out of a tank without a tight-fitting lid.

alright yeah i’m probably never gonna buy another garra after that. I wish I would’ve known they were notorious jumpers before I spent 18 dollars.

I don't think I've ever heard of a pleco jumping out of a tank. Ever.

Not all plecos are algae eaters so make sure you get one that is if that's what you're looking for.

I had my red bristle nose pleco jump out for no reason. Like none!
Edit: $20 dollars down the drain only to find out he was guarding eggs -,-
