Hello,

I'm still trying to finish up stocking my 65 gallon tank. I've thought about 2 or 3 pictus cats, but I'm afraid they'll get too big. I'd like to add a school of corys, and specifically one that stays relatively small and doesn't look like the corydorus trilineatus I have in my 40 gallon breeder. Has anyone out there kept pandas in water around 8.2? The recommendations I've seen are for 7.0 or under, but I also know a lot of fish thrive in conditions different from their supposed "ideal" ones.

Paleatus is another one I've looked at, and I'm open to other suggestions for bottom dwellers, except loaches (don't want anything in my tank that looks like a snake) or plecos (I already have 4 super reds from coralbandit).

My 90g is usually at 7.8. Not as high as yours. But I keep 12 panda cories and they have no problems.

My pandas are currently in 8.2. My oldest ones are around 9 years old
