Panda Corys Acting Strange

I added 6 panda Corys in to my tank about a month ago and today they are not very active and breathing heavily. And not schooling like they normally do. Ammonia: 0 nitrite:0 nitrates: Below 5 Ph: 7.6 Temp: 78 Please help! They also seem off balance and will sometimes float up. The 6 other platys are all doing perfect.

Not any expert by any means, but wanted to bump you up to the top.
I've been told pandas like cooler water, 78 is above their comfort range, though. Not sure about platy temps, sorry!
Some helpful info for others would be what you feed them and your water change schedule.
Sorry I couldn't help more, good luck!

That’s too warm for the Cories. To ensure both fish are comfortable, I’d turn the temperature down to around 74.
Some people might tell you that Platies need warmer water, but I’ve bred them at 72-74 degrees, so that’s just not true.
As Fruity asked, Whats the water change schedule and what do you feed them?

I have four cories in a 75 at 74 degrees. It seems from what I have read that if you are going to go out of a fish’s range it is better to go lower than higher. Sorry I can’t help much.

Did you do any sort of big change to the tank or a water change? What do you feed them? Do you use water conditioner?

Thank you all for replying! To answer your questions I do water changes when the nitrates get around 10, so about once every two weeks. They are fed fish flakes. They eat fish flakes without a problem. I need your help again. Today I noticed a big red spot on one of my cories under his belly and on his head. Spot is very recent . I don’t use a heater water is naturally 78 room temperature. I had a nitrite spike a few weeks ago and used seakhem prime and now nitrite is 0.

I don’t know what is wrong with it. I suggest that in the future you vary their diet a little. I give mine sinking pellets ( bug bites bottom feeder formula) and once a day I give everyone an omega one veggie wafer once a day. And once a week I give everyone blood worms. I hope that you have no more problems!
