I am starting another new aquarium and I have a theme going in it. I was wondering is it possible to paint some terracotta pots for fish hiding spots or should I just look for some black or some caves that semi match the substrate and rocks I am using? Any help would be appreciated. I am using black blasting sand and some fluval rocks my wife wanted (over paid I think). FYI this tank is going to have 3 gold with the EB gene and 1 EB rams also a good dither fish recommendation would be appreciated

Find rocks that already match, most paints would have to be sealed carefully or they will leak and likely kill your fish (and possibly plants).

I would not risk paint in a fish tank. It’s not worth the risk of it leaching into the water in my option.
