Pacing front of the tank

Danni524

So, I've had bettas in the past pace a wall of the tank, but they'd only do it a few times and move on. Usually it was the back of the tank and when they did it too often, I'd move the decorations around and block the back wall. However, my new betta (I've had him about a week) does nothing but pace the front wall of the tank. He stays about half flared and only calms down if the room is pitch black. Has anyone dealt with this? How do I fix it? I don't want him stressed out constantly, but I also don't want to completely block my view into the tank. Other than the pacing, Geralt is settling in fine. Very active boy.

He must be getting glares from windows or something and its acting like a mirror to him. Maybe try blocking off the sides or something and see if that does anything.
