Overwintering In Tubs?

I have a 110gal tub pond, 2 whiskey barrel planter tubs, small kiddie pool and I have to make some decisions about winter.
I've seen that a few people have put regular aquarium heaters in tubs and left them outside in deepest winter. I could do that with full filtration/pumps running, but wonder still if they'll be okay. I nature, they wouldn't have all that stuff, but probably a deeper pond.
I had hoped to have a new inground pond dug, but that may not happen at new house before winter. Old owners didn't disclose some issues that need immediate attention and will require significant resources to resolve.
I'm thinking maybe the best course is somehow move them yet again (that'll make 3 times in 60+ days) which I REALLY hate to do to them and put them in basement. However, that makes me wonder if the cats will leave them alone. Yeah...always complications, right?
Anyone in pond world make this work for winter?

What kind of fish? Where do you live? How cold does it get in the winter? Are any of these containers you have them in buried? Do they have covers? What kind of heaters/ filtration do you have for these containers?
Need to know all that to give you advice.

None are buried. No covers. Goldfish mostly, some tropicals, lots of snails, plants.

Filters: 110 gal has Tetra 1900 and TotalPond 325gph
Whiskey barrels: One has HOB and airstone, other has small carbon, airdirven filter and airstone.
Kiddie pool: No filter or airstone. Mainly just for overflow of plants and snails, for now.

Kiddie pool might crack during winter. Where do you live?

I'm in Midwest and the "pool" is small flexible type that's also used for pet baths. It's foldable. I'll try to put in a pic after I clean filters today.
