All of my tanks are overstocked, I do weekly water changes as well. If you feel like you've got the physical water space to where they'd all have room to thrive, than have at it, would be my personal recommendation.

I don't think your tank is overstocked anyway. You've got ~28 small fish in a 45 gallon tank, you've got some space left still...in my personal...always trying to push the stocking limit...opinion.

So long as the ammonia is handled and the fish are getting along, I'd say you could do it.

Great thanks it seems like they do have more room to swim around and so far its been more peaceful with the tetras added.

AqAdvisor has a great stocking calculator.

I used Aqadvisor just for laughs for my 75G tank when it was still up and running (fish have been rehomed/transferred to a 90G) The calculator said I was about 250% overstocked...oops. I don't have anything that bad anymore...xD

Get
2 more red eye tetras
3 more blushing tetras
3-5 more kuhlI loaches

That is the limit. Most algae eaters have a high bio load. Otos are one of the exceptions but they will het eaten by the EBA. I'd also reomend more sight blockers so more plants, hides etc.

Yeah I like all of those fish bigger schools or shoals would be great.

I think a school of Columbian Tetras would look great in your community.
Yeah I think so too

Look out for aggressive behavior from the Dwarf Gourami, it seldom works out keeping males together.
