Overrun With Seedshrimp!

MiniPop

My 10 gallon shrimp and snail only tank is overrun with tiny round creatures that appear to be seed shrimp (ostracods). I hired some endler guppies to keep them under control, which worked wonders. But now that my red cherry shrimplets are born, I removed the fish to keep them safe. This made the seed shrimp population increase and multiply even more after I started feeding Bacter AE to the shrimplets. If I decrease feeding to fix this, how do I make sure the shrimplets are still getting enough food? I'm concerned the seed shrimp are competing for food with them. Or is this not a concern?

Dont worry about them I go through this all the time with shrimp its all part of not having predators in the tank. How much and how often are you feeding bactor AE, how long the tank been running

HI Richie, I started feeding the Bacter AE about a week ago at half the amount on the bottle direction. The tank has been running for 7 months.
Edit: Forgot to add: I feed the Bacter AE daily. And in addition I feed one of the following daily: a small spinach leaf, a few Shrimp Cuisine pellets, or a small piece of algae wafer.

HI minipop you only need to feed bactor AE once a week and only the amount shown in my picture that's more than enough for all and you'll.see the seed shrimp die dow . When you have young feed the same but twice a week, what I'm showing you is the back end of the spoon. A 7month tank as more than enough biofilm for everything

Ohh okay! I'll try that. I'm just nervous that if I decreased food the seed shrimp will outcompete the shrimplets. I have trouble seeing the picture as it's very small. Is that a heaping scoop?

Ohh ok I can see clearly now. You're using the other end of the scoop.
I will try what you suggested. Thank you so much!! This makes me feel a lot better!
